Addio a Allan Holdswhorth: il chitarrista è scomparso inaspettatamente a 71 anni.



L'annuncio è stato dato dalla famiglia sui social, senza menzionare le cause della morte.
Holdsworth era considerato uno dei più grandi chitarristi del ventesimo secolo.
Maestro della chitarra sintetizzata, pioniere e principale sviluppatore di un nuovo strumento chiamato Synthaxe (un midi controller)
con il quale suonava controllando sei sintetizzatori contemporaneamente.


Ad inizio carriera aveva suonato con gruppi appartenenti della scena progressive britannica come Soft Machine, Tempest, UK.
Il suo genere è un misto di jazz e rock progressivo e viene spesso catalogato come fusion.
